The College of Wooster Location is our oldest and most popular camp. Started in 1981, this camp has grown to become one of the largest and most respected tennis camps in the nation. In 2007, The All-American Tennis Camps were voted the best sports camp in the state of Ohio by Sports Illustrated magazine. The All-American camps were one of only 3 tennis camps to receive this honor in the United States.

OVERNIGHT CAMP (with commuter option) FOR BOYS & GIRLS AGES 8-18 OF ALL SKILL LEVELS:
The All-American Tennis Camp - The College of Wooster is for boys and girls ages 8-18, of all skill levels. We offer three types of camps at Wooster, 3 weeks of Traditional Camp, 2 weeks of Match Play camp, and 1 College Prep Camp.

David Schilling, Asst. Men's Tennis Coach - The College of Wooster (ALL WEEKS EXCEPT MATCH PLAY II)
The director of the All-American tennis camp (at the College of Wooster) is Ohio State coach, David Schilling. Schilling is in his 11th year at OSU and during this time the program has reached unparalleled success, including a 2009 NCAA National Team Runner-up and #2 ranking. During his collegiate coaching career, Schilling has developed 5 National Champions, 15 All-Americans, 37 national qualifiers, and 44 All-Conference selections. His teams have qualified for 14 National Team Championships, been ranked nationally 20 times, and captured 9 Conference Championships. In addition, Schilling was Kenyon College's all-time winningest coach in his five years as the Head Coach there. Finally, Coach Schilling has directed the Wooster camp for the past 13 years.
Todd Wojtkowski, Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach - Case Western Reserve University - (MATCH PLAY II)

Todd Wojtkowski is the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Case Western Reserve University. Wojtkowski spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I The Citadel after spending two years on the nationally-ranked Ohio State Buckeye men’s tennis team. He helped the Bulldogs to their first ever NCAA Division I national tennis ranking this year. The program finished 2-18 during the 2006-2007 season and 16-9 this past year. The Youngstown, Ohio, native spent three years playing at the University of Toledo before transferring to Ohio State. As a scholarship student-athlete at Toledo, Wojtkowski was a three-time Varsity T award winner, Team Leadership Award winner and team captain.
He redshirted his senior [first] year at Ohio State, playing for the Buckeyes during his first year of graduate school. The team won a Big Ten Championship and rose to a No. 5 national ranking that season. Wojtkowski earned several awards, including the Ohio State Scholar Athlete Award, the 2006 Senior Leader Award and the Men’s Varsity "O" Post-Graduate Scholarship. Wojtkowski earned his degree in middle childhood education in 2006 from Ohio State and completed an MBA at The Citadel in 2008.
STAFF: The coaching staff at the All-American tennis camps is one of the strongest and most well respected in the Midwest. Consisting of top collegiate coaches and players, the staff is handpicked for their ability to teach and relate to young players in a friendly, thorough and responsible manner.

TYPES OF CAMPS OFFERED:
Traditional Camps:
(Stroke development emphasis): Our traditional tennis camps (non match play) are designed to focus on the fundamentals and swing techniques of the modern tennis strokes. Some of the areas of focus for each level include:
Match Play:
The Match Play week of camp is designed for players looking for a highly competitive experience, with an emphasis on match strategies and point progressions. Campers will be exposed to many of the advanced teaching techniques and match play strategies found in the country's top collegiate tennis programs. The players will focus each morning on singles strategies. Offense, Defense, alternative patterns of play and the role of footwork and balance will be featured. Afternoon emphasis is on doubles techniques and strategies, including traditional and alternative formations. Evening tennis will involve Match Play, with on court coaching from our staff to ensure that these techniques are being adopted and understood by the young players. It is the main goal of the camp to teach the students a way to improve dramatically by playing percentages and understanding the strategies of the game of tennis.
College Prep:
The College Prep camp is designed for high school level players looking for a highly intense tennis experience, with an emphasis on preparing the young player for playing collegiate tennis. The camp will feature high energy workouts and drill sessions that replicate the pace and focus of a top collegiate team practice. Strategies, point progressions, and percentage awareness will be highlighted on court, as well as stiff competitive situations. In addition, the camp will feature lectures and seminars on College Recruiting, ACT/SAT preparation, divisions of collegiate tennis (I, II, III, NAIA, JC), “How to get recruited” , College showcase, and Scheduling, amongst other college prep aspects. This camp is designed for players entering and already in high school and space will be limited !
WHAT TO BRING:
Our residential camps are very busy days, filled with social and recreational activities, in addition to 5.5 to 6 hours of tennis each day. Campers should pack all the items that they desire to be able to enjoy these packed days. Each evening will feature a social activity such as bowling, movie night, talent show, casino night etc..., so please pack accordingly. Finally, there is swimming every afternoon, so pack a bathing suit if you desire to swim (swimming is optional).
