Now in our  Eighth Year, the Revolution Lacrosse Camp for Girls at the College of Wooster  has grown into one of the most popular boys lacrosse camps in the Midwest. The College of Wooster camp is a 5 day /4 night camp, the only one in Ohio and is long enough to ensure the necessary repetitions and skill development time on the fields.

There are many lacrosse camps throughout the country, many are designed as recruiting opportunities, some are team camps for game play. The Revolution Lacrosse camps are designed for individual development. Hallmarks of our programs are well-organized days of instruction specific to each position and skill level, that progress through the duration of the camp.

KRISTIN RAMEY – Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach - Denison University 

Kristin Ramey is entering her first season as the head women’s lacrosse coach at Denison University in 2011-12.  Ramey was named Denison’s ninth head coach in June of 2011.

Ramey came to Denison after spending five years as an assistant coach at Bridgewater College (Va.) and McDaniel College (Md.).  At Bridgewater, Ramey served as the assistant coach in women’s lacrosse and field hockey and was also an adjunct professor in the department of exercise science since August of 2010.

Prior to her season at Bridgewater, Ramey spent four years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, McDaniel.  From 2006 through 2008 she was a graduate assistant coach with the Green Terror, and in August of 2008, she became the full-time assistant coach for lacrosse and field hockey.  In addition to her coaching duties, Ramey also served as the assistant fitness director and taught physical activity classes in the exercise science department.

In 2008, Ramey earned her master’s degree in exercise science from McDaniel and in 2005 she received her bachelor of arts in exercise with a minor in business administration from McDaniel.

As a player, Ramey was a four-year member of the McDaniel women’s lacrosse and field hockey teams.  In 2005 she received the Women’s Athletic Alumnae Award as the school’s most outstanding senior athlete.  A two-time first-team Centennial Conference selection, Ramey led the team in goals (40), assists (13), points (53) and caused turnovers (25).  As a senior, InsideLacrosse.com named her a third-team All-American, and in 2004 she was selected as the team’s most valuable player.  Ramey is ranked among the all-time leaders in goals, assists, ground balls, draws and caused turnovers at McDaniel.

Ramey spent one year as a lacrosse coach and physical education teacher at Bedford High School in Bedfordshire, U.K.  She is the director of Crease Ranch Lacrosse and Field Hockey Camp in Houston, Texas and was the assistant coordinator of event and game operations for the 2010 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship weekend in Baltimore, Md.  She has also attended the NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement and was a three-time mentor and presenter at the Centennial Conference’s Snell-Shillingford Coaching Symposium.

The coaching staff at the Revolution lacrosse camp is one of the strongest and most well respected in the country. Consisting of top collegiate coaches and players, the staff is handpicked for their ability to teach and relate to young players in a friendly, thorough and responsible manner.

The Revolution Lacrosse Camps offer Ohio’s finest instructional lacrosse camps. Our emphasis is on small, comprehensive instructional groups , featuring the latest teaching techniques, drills and methods. Each day is divided into three distinct lacrosse sessions focusing on areas such as:

WHAT TO BRING:

 

Our residential camps are very busy days, filled with social and recreational activities, in addition to 5.5 to 6 hours of lacrosse each day. Campers should pack all the items that they desire to be able to enjoy these packed days.  Suggested items to bring to camp include:
