* College Prep curriculum

New for 2011, the Revolution Lacrosse Camp for Boys is adding a College Prep curriculum for all it’s players in or heading into high school.  The College Prep sessions include work both on the fields and off.  The CP field work will include faster paced drill sessions, more advanced technique work, and structured scrimmage / game situations that replicate the pace and tempo of lacrosse as played on college campuses.  The goal of the field work is to provide the high school level player a better understanding on how collegiate practices are conducted and to gain insight into the necessary expectations that are needed to play at the next level.

In addition to the field work, the camp will also host a College Prep Symposium.  This lecture will highlight what it takes to get recruited, what the differences in the different NCAA divisions, the ways to go about securing a college scholarship, understanding NCAA rules and guidelines, the admissions  process and a timeline of the collegiate recruiting experience.  In addition, current collegiate players will be on hand to discuss what their experiences are, how to balance the athletic and academic experience, and to answer questions on what college lacrosse means to them.

This new track at the Revolution Lacrosse Camp promises to be one of the most beneficial additions to our camp, and is unique to an instructional lacrosse camp nationwide.
